SNOW!

Today is Saturday, OCTOBER 29th and it is snowing out. Not just flurrying as the weatherman said, but snowing. Our cars have a coating of snow! This is just one of the many reasons I am moving to California. I have nothing else to say about this right now.

Guest Post #1: Our Field of Dreams

Less than 2 years ago, it turned our dining room into a glorious sports arena. A place where friends would meet to challenge one another's ego. The lights would come up at night to illuminate the 22 gold and navy players on the field as they kicked, passed and spun their way into the hearts of all those who lay their hands on those grips. The sounds at times were deafening as match after match played out. Spectators and competitors alike raised their voices in the heat of the moment as the ball crashed against the boards and into the back to the net... GOAL!!!!!
Many epic matches were waged on this field. It is now gone and only few pictures, but many memories remain. It will be missed and all we can hope is that whoever is spinning those metal bars now will enjoy it as much as we did.

Movies

I am a little behind on the movie scene. I don't think I have been to a movie or seen a new release since June.
But... we just watched "In Good Company". Highly recommended. It struck home on so many points. I suggest you watch if you haven't. Good for boys, girls, old and young. I may watch it again tomorrow before we give it back to Kevin & Susan.
More later.....

Ta Da..Mrs. Gomez is on the scene

Today I went to the RMV - I am now Mrs. Megan Ottensman Gomez. They didn't even ask for a marriage license. So, if you have any the inclination, you could go and change your name to anything you want, without any documentation whatsoever. I could have become - Princess Consuela Banana Hammock, if I had wanted. Or maybe... anything really.
Anyway. For all of you that were trying to become ordained ministers, do not worry. Crisis averted. I overcame the evil state of New York....ha ha ha!!!

Na Na...aka Jonah

Jonah joined our family when I was in high school. He was the best dog ever! His name changed to Na Na when Ella started talking - Jonah is a mouthful for a 2 year old.
We love him and will remember him forever! I can't believe he is gone! He passed away today.

Ordained Ministers??

We received out marriage license in the mail... can you believe there is an error? It says that I am keeping Ottensman. My answer to them was "how could I pass up being MEGAN GOMEZ?"

Abridged version of a long saga: New York sucks and we may have to have a Round 2 wedding so Megan Nicole Ottensman can become Megan Ottensman Gomez. Anybody want to become an ordained minister so they can marry us... again?

Wedding Day - September 10th

Sept 10 was the most amazing day. I first have to thank my family - I still haven't found the words to convey how grateful I am. They supported me through some pretty crazy moments, tears and stressful arts and craft sessions. Thank you!!

Milton and I are so thankful to have had our friends and family come to Montauk for the weekend and we hope you all had as much fun as we did. Thank you for making the trip - we know it isn't easy getting out there! It will be a weekend I will remember for the rest of my life.
When can we do it again?? I am sure there are plenty of stories I haven't heard yet so please....

I haven't received the pictures from Nelson our photographer yet, but here are some shots that you have sent us. Please keep them coming!

Flipping the Leaf

It is fall. The leaves are changing. I think I will start a blog. I am horrible at keeping in touch with everyone that I love and care about - this is going to be one of my many attempts to turn over a new leaf.
Check back every now and then - please comment to help motivate me, and so I know what is going on in your life too.
This will be fun!
